Summer Wildflower Elopement Ouray, Colorado

C + D were very intentional from the start, and knew exactly how they dreamed of celebrating their special day. With wildflowers, a jeep adventure and a small guest list being a few of their non-negotiables – they were ready for this summer day in the mountains! 

An early morning start for hair and makeup allowed C + D to enjoy a first look and private vows at their Airbnb overlooking the San Juan Mountains. 

Ready for the adventure part of their day, we loaded into jeeps and enjoyed a bumpy yet beautiful 40 minute ride to their ceremony site. Their guests gathered around in anticipation of this monumental moment in such a breathtaking setting. Blue skies contrasting the mountain range, wildflowers swaying in the breeze and the faint sounds of the nearby waterfall – their ceremony spot resembled a scene from a fairytale. 

They sealed their vows with a kiss, cheers’d some champagne and shared hugs with their favorite people. Before heading back to their Airbnb for their evening celebrations, the newlyweds snuck off in their jeep for further adventuring and epic photos! 

In classic Colorado fashion, the afternoon rains forced their evening celebrations inside – but their rustic long tables, cozied up by the fireplace allowed everyone to enjoy a delicious catered meal over meaningful conversations. Every bit as intentional as they had wanted from the start. 15 of their closest family and friends, their favorite activities and a casual setting… It was absolutely perfect.
