Prettiest Places to Elope in Colorado!

Did you know that Colorado is ranked in the top 3 places to elope in the United States!?

That might not come as a surprise, seeing that it is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!

When you search ‘prettiest places to elope in Colorado’, chances are Rocky Mountain National Park, Aspen and Breckenridge fall among the top search results… What google doesn’t share with you, are a few so-called ‘hidden gem’ locations that we believe are actually the prettiest places to elope in the state of Colorado!

Here’s the scoop.

1. Ouray, Colorado

Otherwise known as the ‘Switzerland of America‘. It did not get that name for it’s fondue.. Nestled in the heart of the San Juan Mountains, this small town is completely surrounded by some of the prettiest peaks in the state! Next to it’s epic location, this town has a charm all it’s own. With it’s natural hot springs, gorgeous waterfalls, lively breweries and delectable cuisine this town gives the actual Switzerland a run for it’s money. When it comes to eloping here, there are hundreds of miles of jeep trails to some absolutely breathtaking locations! Like this spot up Yankee Boy Basin!

2. Telluride, Colorado

Located in the base of a canyon, surrounded by mountain peaks and a popular ski & golf resort, this town brings a bit of alpine luxury to your elopement destination. Telluride‘s upscale lodging, fine-dining restaurants and downtown shopping scene will most definitely provide added amenities to your adventure weekend. Often times compared to Vail or Aspen; Telluride has a similar appeal but is much more secluded. We consider that a good thing when scouting for private elopement experiences!

We have a list of locations within a 20-30 minute drive of Telluride, making it super convenient for you and possibly a few of your guests to witness your special day.

3. Silverton, Colorado

Located in the Southwest region of the state, Silverton allows you to step back in time. What was once a bustling mining town in the wild west, now lies a popular summer spot for tourists looking to ride the train, enjoy some camping, hiking, fishing and really just a bit of peace and quiet.

Silverton’s jeep roads bring you to some of the prettiest turquoise lakes, fields of wildflowers and insanely epic views!
